Each November, the PLCS Staff Giving Campaign raises funds for two essential programs: the Student Emergency Fund and the PLCS Family Fund. Gifts made through the campaign provide assistance to students and staff when times are tough.
Last year, 137 families across the district received support with essentials such as housing, transportation, and utilities during times of crisis. During the school year, that averages nearly four families per week.In addition, 31 PLCS staff members and their families were supported during periods of illness, family emergencies, and other unexpected financial hardships, averaging about one family per week during the school year.
PLCS staff once again came together in a big way for this year’s Staff Giving Campaign. A total of 1,006 staff members donated, helping the district reach 57% participation. The PLCS Foundation is grateful for this support and the difference it makes for PLCS students and families.
