The PLCS Foundation is here to help you plan a memorable class reunion.
Class officers and past student leaders typically take the lead in coordinating reunions for each graduating class. You know the personalities and stories that make special memories come alive no matter how long it has been since graduation. As you plan your reunion, please know that the PLCS Foundation is here to help. Assistance may include providing class lists from our alumni database, scheduling a tour of the high school and helping brainstorm ideas. For starters, click through the tips below.

Reunion Planning Tips
-
▸ Where to begin?
Planning a reunion doesn’t have to be stressful. It’s an exciting opportunity to reconnect with your classmates! The first step is to build a planning committee and surround yourself with members that are well-connected to your fellow graduates. This will allow you to expand your reach, generate enthusiasm, and plan a reunion everyone will remember!
-
▸ When is a good time to hold a reunion?
Some reunions take place on Fridays and Saturdays between June and October. Determine the date early so you can get it on classmates’ calendars as soon as possible. The annual Monarch/Titan football game is a sure way to bring back memories of your high school years. And, there is plenty of entertainment for your guests and their families as you reminisce about your growing years. If you’d like an event that’s more active, consider planning your reunion around La Vista Days or Papillion Days where you can walk in the parade or enjoy the carnival and rides. Avoiding Husker football Saturday’s will increase your attendance!
-
▸ Where should we hold our reunion?
The Papillion and La Vista areas offer many great locations to host your reunion. Restaurants such as Jerzees, Ref’s and Talus have rooms to host larger groups. Or, if you’d prefer to stay outdoors, consider a bbq at a local park, attend a Storm Chasers game, or even rent a firepit at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch. Most importantly, schedule a tour of your high school so you can see firsthand the growth of your school since you graduated. Both high schools have made significant enhancements to their buildings, and you won’t want to miss your opportunity to see these incredible changes!
-
▸ How can our class support our high school?
Today’s students need your help! The PL & T Funds were established to engage alumni in supporting needed changes and improvements for current students. The PL Fund provided furniture in counseling areas, upgraded trophy displays for journalism students and purchased instruments for the PL band. The T Fund created a mental health support center and created an outdoor classroom space for all students. During your high school tour, you can see the immediate impact your donations make. None of this is possible without alumni like YOU! Consider a class or individual donation to your school’s fund to continue the legacy of greatness for today’s students. The Foundation can create custom QR codes or design an event page on our website for your convenience.
